Beauty - Feed your skin

Beauty - it's how we are judged. If you don't take care of yourself, it's much harder to undo.

Diet
Diet is super important in the quest for gorgeous skin. Fish - salmon and mackerel - are especially great. Take lots of fruits, as many different colours as possible. Drink water, tea, it's all about hydration. If you are having a night out, with a few glasses of wine, cocktails, shots, champagne or whatever your fancy, drink water, lots and lots of it, alternate if you can.

Moisturise
Find what suits your skin, what you enjoy using - whether it's a basic brand from boots, Nivea or Dove, or the more fancy stuff from The Body Shop, Space NK, Lush, Moulton Brown, L'Occitane or Jo Malone. You can buy online, but the downside is that you won't know if you are happy with the scent and texture. A few of my favourites are:
  • Body Moisturise - Gorgeous rose, smells amazing (Rose-4-Reines-Pearlescent-L'Occitane - £25) or La Sultane Shea bitter rose from The Sanctuary Shop in Covent Garden (they use La Sultane in the spa).
Sometimes, stores will give you a sample so you can try it out at home. Mix it up, a different one every day  - oils, creams, body butters, depending on your mood, the weather, where you are going or how your skin is feeling. If you want to learn a bit more about the difference between lotions, creams and body butters - take a look at Buzzle

Exfoliate
Exfoliation is also an important part of your skin care regime. There are salt scrubs and sugar ones. You can even make your own scrubs. They are easy, and all you need is olive oil, salt and whatever fragrance - eg coffee (which I've read is great to minimise cellulite but can keep you up.)

  • Fresh Face Scrub and Detox - I love brazened honey (Lush face masks - £4.95)
Boosters
My favourite skin boosters are mango, avocado and almond. They are awesome. Just check out how your skin looks after you have a big bowl of the stuff.
