Cooking Substitutes
Here are some healthy substitutes to use
when you are cooking so you can eat right but still enjoy good food:
Fresh mushrooms from a French Sunday market
mushrooms for meat (try the different varieties)
apple juice for sugar
dates / prunes for chocolate
lime or lemon juice for salad dressing
pesto for pasta sauce
home-made salsa for sauce or gravy
squid for noodles (great if you are on no carbs)
