London's Covent Garden - a top ten hotspot

London's Covent Garden - is it a tourist trap or the place to be?

Covent Garden is the place to be if you want the bustle and charm of London's West End. Shops, bars and restaurants, some of which really are tourist traps. Can you believe a glass of pimms in the piazza cost £10? If you haven't tried pimms, you must, it's a summer favourite, the english version of a sangria but with gin.

In covent garden, you'll find many of the high st stores, as well as boutiques like kate spade, agnes b and paul smith. It's also home to the indulgent and women's only Sanctuary Spa, a true oasis. The incredibly popular and much hyped about Shake Shack has opened in the piazza. Lauduree and Raymond Blanc are also conveniently located if you fancy a splurge. The apple and disney stores are on hand for kids and adult toys.

The buskers will entertain and hustle you. The crowds will drive you just a bit crazy and you may get a little lost. Like alot of London, the small streets  can get you going in circles. It's still one of my favourite London spots. Check it out.

Covent Garden is within walking distance from Leicester Square, Holborn, Trafalgar Square and The Strand.
