Why London is better than New York

Champagne007 investigates the mystery of London versus New York in true Sherlocke Holmes style. She breaks it down for you and goes where no one has been before.

Big Ben -v- The Statue of Liberty
Their the icons of each city. Big Ben may look mighty, but he's not actually big. If size matters, then Lady Liberty has to win, in any case, she's a woman and they always do, right?!

WINNER - THE STATUE OF LIBERTY (NEW YORK)

Simon Cowell - v - Donald Trump
If you put these two guys into a ring, who do you think would triumph? The Cowell-anator would be using his master powers of criticism and the Don would be yelling You're Fired!

Both are kings of reality of television . The diplomatic answer would be a tie, but I'm no beauty pageant queen trying to be nice and if it were a beauty contest between them, neither would do well. I tell it like it is. He's managed to conquer both the UK and the US.

WINNER - SIMON COWELL (LONDON)

Soccer - v -  Baseball
Aside from the fact that David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo are hotties, soccer, or football as it's called on this side of the pond, is one of the biggest games in the world. World Cup fever takes over and everyone is glued to their televisions. The Brazilians don't work when their country plays.

But baseball caps would never have been invented if it hadn't been for baseball, and what would the modern man accesorise with instead I ask you, a trilby perhaps?

WINNER - SOCCER (LONDON)

BBC - v - CNN
CNN just scored Piers Morgan so that's thumbs down for them,. Just kidding, I love Piers. Though it's only been around since the 80s, its reach has grown to 200 million households in over 200 countries.

The Beebs as it's called by some Brits, claims to be the largest broadcaster in the world and boasts 23,000 employees and beat CNN in the race to HD by 15 months. The straw that breaks this neck and neck is the anti.cnn website because how cool are you if someone has gone to the trouble.

WINNER - CNN (NEW YORK)

The Tower of London - v - The Empire State Building
King Kong hung off the Empire and it's 102 storeys high. The Tower of London is actually a castle and is 865 years older. It has to be the place where they use to chop off the heads of Queens.

WINNER - THE TOWER OF LONDON (LONDON)

The Verdict
And the winner is ......

LONDON

It was a tough call. London is close to Europe where you can drink with the Germans, ski with the Swiss, be insulted by the French and pick-pocketed by the Spanish. Frank Sinatra and Alicia Keys sing about New York - the city that never sleeps, a concrete jungle where dreams are made of. These are fine competitors but London scored 3 to New York's 2. My dear Watson, that's why London is better than New York, so spread the word and email http://secretstobeautyhealthandhappiness.blogspot.com/ to your friends.
